New role strengthens the operations behind CJM’s planning-first model as the firm grows past $1.7 billion in assets

FALLS CHURCH, Va. — October 20, 2026 — CJM Wealth Advisers, an independent, fee-only fiduciary wealth management firm founded in 1978, today announced the appointment of Jessica Staton as Chief Operating Officer. The position is newly created, reflecting CJM’s growth to $1.7 billion in assets under management and its investment in the operational foundation to support what comes next.

The firm has grown steadily over nearly 50 years and now employs more than 25 people. The firm was recently recognized by CNBC on the 2026 Financial Advisor 100 list, which ranks the best financial advisory firms. As it scales, CJM remains committed to the model that has defined it since its founding: financial planning first, with a team that knows each client by name.

Staton joins CJM from West Financial Services, where she most recently served as Director of Operations and Technology. Over her career in financial services, she’s worked in client service, trading, and operations and technology leadership, experience that spans nearly every function of a wealth management firm..”In an age of AI, the real value in wealth management is the human side of it. It’s empathy, and being there for people during the moments that matter, celebrating the milestones and holding their hands through the hard times. That’s what we’re here for. Jessica will help us continue to deliver on that commitment to our clients at scale,” said David Greene, Chief Executive Officer of CJM Wealth Advisers.

CJM leads with a human-centered, planning-first model, building each client’s financial plan first and letting investment decisions follow from it. Staton will focus on the systems strategy, succession planning, and operations behind that model, freeing advisors to spend more of their time with clients.

“I chose CJM because of the people and the chance to help build something. This is a firm that leads with relationships and does right by its clients, and I’m looking forward to strengthening the operations that support that work,” said Staton.

CJM also recently welcomed Olivia Cooper as Director of Operations and Strategic Planning. Cooper began her career in long-term care, running day-to-day operations and managing a staff of more than 100, before moving into wealth management operations for three years. At CJM, she supports implementation of strategic initiatives across the firm, with a focus on people, processes, and organizational infrastructure. Her work helps translate the firm’s strategic priorities into scalable systems and processes that support the team and position CJM for continued growth.
