Who Jessica Helps

As CJM’s first Chief Operating Officer, Jessica oversees the people, processes, and systems that support the firm’s day-to-day operations. Working closely with the leadership team, she focuses on building the infrastructure needed to to support the firm’s growth while maintaining the high level of service clients expect.

Jessica’s Story

Prior to joining CJM, Jessica spent nearly a decade leading operations and technology initiatives within the RIA industry. She worked closely with firm leadership to improve processes, implement technology solutions, and build teams capable of supporting growth. Her experience spans client service, trading, operations, and leadership, giving her a unique perspective on how all parts of an advisory firm work together to deliver an exceptional client experience. As CJM’s first COO, she hopes to strengthen the firm’s day-to-day operations to support long term sustainability and growth. 

Her Approach

Jessica believes great operations should work behind the scenes, with systems, processes and teams that work together effectively and free advisers to focus on serving clients so the firm can grow with confidence.

She stays close to the day-to-day work rather than directing from a distance. Throughout her career, she has built teams, led major technology initiatives, and streamlined processes that improved efficiency and reduced operational friction. At CJM, she brings that same practical approach, using technology, data, and AI to identify opportunities, solve problems, and create scalable solutions that support the firm’s long-term success. 

Outside of Work

Jessica is a graduate of the University of Louisville and remains a loyal Cardinals fan. She also enjoys following the Orioles and other Washington-area sports teams. Outside of work, she volunteers with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, helping children learn to ride. When she’s not at the office, you’ll likely find her spending time with family and friends or enjoying time at the beach or the lake.
